On April 26, the Consulate General of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Nanning held its traditional New Year Water Festival. Yu Wenjin, Vice President and a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Guangxi University, was invited to attend the event.  

During the festival, Vice President Yu Wenjin had a cordial conversation with Daw Kay Zin Lin, Consul General of Myanmar in Nanning. They reviewed the friendly cooperation between Guangxi University and various sectors of Myanmar, and Yu expressed gratitude to the Consulate General for its long-standing support in the cultivation of Myanmar students studying at Guangxi University. He also reaffirmed the University’s commitment to deepening educational exchanges and cooperation with Myanmar, and to nurturing more young talents for China-Myanmar friendship.  

At the event, Vice President Yu Wenjin also engaged in deep discussions on educational exchanges and youth talent cultivation with other distinguished guests, including: Mr. Vongpanoe Xipaseuth, Consul General of Laos in Nanning; Mr. Fadzil Bin Ismail, Consul General of Malaysia in Nanning; Mr. Sasin Sarobe, Consul General of Thailand in Nanning; Mr. Chea Sokcheng, Consul of Cambodia in Nanning; Mr. Nguyen Duc Hung, Consul of Vietnam in Nanning; representatives from the Hong Kong Office in Guangxi, the Foreign Affairs Office of Guangxi, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Guangxi Committee, the Department of Education of Guangxi, the Department of Commerce of Guangxi, the Secretariat of the China-ASEAN Expo, and Guangxi Minzu University, among others.  

Leaders from the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of Guangxi University, along with 30 Myanmar student representatives, were also invited to participate in the event.
