GXU (Guangxi University) hosted the 2026 China–ASEAN Youth Study Camp, titled “Silk Road Pastoral Song, Youth Gathering,” from July 26 to 30. Nearly 40 faculty members and students in animal science from universities in Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia took part in the study and exchange program.

The camp was organized by GXU and jointly undertaken by the School of Animal Science and Technology, the International Cooperation and Exchanges Department, and the Graduate School. During the program, participants attended lectures by experts and visited the Animal Science Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Center, the GXU Teaching Animal Hospital, the University History Museum, and the Memorial Hall at the former site of the original Nanning Yucai School (Vietnamese Central School Zone). Combining science and technology with the humanities, the program enabled participants to gain a comprehensive understanding of GXU’s rich historical and cultural heritage and distinctive academic strengths. The participants also explored downtown Nanning, experiencing the city’s character and Guangxi’s outstanding ethnic traditions firsthand. In addition, they visited cutting-edge technology companies, gaining a broad perspective on the vivid practice and substantial achievements of Chinese modernization.
