From July 17 to 20, the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2026) was held in Shanghai. Zhao Shuangliang, Vice President of Guangxi University, and Dean of the School of Artificial Intelligence, was invited to attend the conference.

During the conference, Vice President Zhao visited the AI technology exhibition to learn about the latest achievements in global AI governance and AI-powered applications across various industries. He engaged in exchanges with representatives from leading AI enterprises and research institutions. He also attended the "Computing-Power Collaboration × Token Factory" ASEAN Green Intelligent Computing and AI Innovation Ecosystem Conference, hosted by Runjian Co., Ltd., as a distinguished guest.
At the round-table forum themed "How the Token Economy Reshapes AI Business Models and the Path to Going Global with a Focus on ASEAN," Vice President Zhao engaged in in-depth discussions with fellow experts on topics including green computing infrastructure development, industrial ecosystem synergy, AI commercial applications, and China–ASEAN cooperation. He noted that Guangxi University is making every effort to build a China–ASEAN collaborative innovation system for artificial intelligence, continuously deepening practical cooperation with ASEAN universities and enterprises, and actively contributing wisdom and strength to serve China's national AI development strategy and promote the building of a closer China–ASEAN community with a shared future.
The 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, themed "Intelligent Partners, Creating the Future Together," was co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other national ministries and commissions, together with the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. The conference featured over 1,100 participating enterprises, more than 1,400 Chinese and international guests, over 3,000 exhibits, and more than 300 products making their global debut, collectively showcasing the latest achievements and development trends in the global artificial intelligence field.
